How to use My Study Diary

Everything you need to know in five minutes — add subjects, log a focused session, track your weekly goals, and (optionally) join your teacher's class.

1. Open the diary

Head to /diary. You can start using it right away without an account — your data is saved locally on your device. Sign in if you want it to sync across phone, laptop and tablet.

2. Add your subjects

From the Subjects section, add each subject you're revising (Maths, Biology, History…). Set a target — either weekly hours or a total before exam day. The diary uses this to predict whether you're on track.

3. Log a focused session

Hit Start session, pick the subject, and use the built-in timer (Pomodoro-style or free-form). When you finish, add a quick note about what you covered. That's it — your streak, weekly total and per-subject progress all update automatically.

4. Set goals and watch the prediction

The Goals section shows whether your current pace is enough to hit each subject's target. If you're behind, the diary tells you exactly how many extra minutes per week you need.

5. Use the exam countdown

Add your exams from the exam countdown page. You'll see days remaining and how many realistic study hours you've still got left — so revision doesn't sneak up on you.

6. Join your teacher's class (optional)

If your teacher uses My Study Diary, they'll give you a join code. Follow the step-by-step join guide — it takes 30 seconds and your teacher only sees focused minutes per subject, never your notes.

7. Build the habit

That's it

Open My Study Diary and log your first session — it takes about 30 seconds and the rest takes care of itself.

Track your revision in one calm place
